Danum Valley Conservation Area, Sabah, is a 438 km² expanse of dipterocarp dominated tropical rainforest which accounts for over 60% of the estimated total of undisturbed lowland forest remaining in Sabah. It is by far one of the most amazing and beautiful places I’ve ever been lucky enough to visit. This first set of pictures were taken at Danum Valley Field Centre which lies on the eastern border of the conservation area, approximately 70 km inland from the nearest town of Lahad Datu.
