I'm usually pretty organised for Christmas but this year December has snuck up on me (anyone else?) and all of a sudden it's a week until the big day and I've bought a grand total of... two presents. There's some of my favourite beauty and lifestyle bits that I've been loving or have bought for other people this year, and then there's loads more ideas at the bottom of the page, so you should find at least one thing that's perfect for your best girls, mum, or to treat number one themselves (you, duh). You've still got time to get next day delivery or pop out to town and pick these up, so pour yourself a glass of mulled wine, stick on Mariah and don't panic - we've got this
I've tried a couple of beauty boxes in the past, but always got a little bit bored - sure, it's lovely getting surprises and discovering new brands, but does anyone really have the time to try all of those products?! But what I genuinely never get bored of, is getting new nail polish colours. So when Nailbox contacted me asking if I'd like to try their nail polish subscription box, of course I wanted to straight away. 'Cause we know there's just no such thing as too many nail polishes!
Recently I went to find out more about OM Skincare at the beautiful Charlotte Street Hotel. I hadn't heard much about OM Skincare before receiving the event invitation but I recognised the super-Instagrammable packaging as I'd seen it on the shelves of Space NK. When I looked into the brand, I was interested straight away as the products use responsibly-sourced natural ingredients and the range has a focus on mindfulness and wellbeing - sounds perfect to me.
I'm so SO happy that the weather in the UK has finally got better and I've actually been able to go out without a coat on a few occasions this month! But with summer comes way more to think about - sun protection, hay fever, insect bites, actually having to get my paler than pale haven't-seen-a-razor-since-christmas legs out on show... So it was perfect timing when Holland & Barrett contacted me about getting involved with their Get Ready for Summer campaign, in line with Sun Awareness Week which runs until 16th May. They kindly sent me a box of beauty and health summer essentials which I want to share with you today.
A while back I went for lunch with one of my best friends Elie and as she's recently started a blog we thought we'd take our cameras along and shoot a few outfit photos! I was frantically trying to get ready/tidy/sort my life out before she arrived so I ended up just staying in the clothes I had on so we'd have more time for drinks and food! I did dress the outfit up slightly with my current shoe obsession from ASOS. I've been loving pointed toe shoes this season, and these are the perfect height to wear with boyfriend-style jeans and not look too overdressed in the daytime (read: I can actually walk in them without having had a few glasses of wine first!).
